Tinhela610

“Our wilderness retreat sanctuary is a refuge for all those in need of the healing power of Nature. Our intention is to inspire our guests to re-connect, to boost awareness and to stimulate creativity  in order to meet the challenges of this millennium.” Holly Niemela and Édouard Payen, founders of Tinhela610.

Tinhela610 is an escape from the ordinary hum-drum, a place to transcend into a realm of avant-garde tranquility, a wilderness retreat sanctuary, nestled in the untamed beauty of Northern Portugal. It isn’t the typical abode; it is a clandestine refuge for the bold, the seekers of the extraordinary and those who crave a different viewpoint than the mundane.

The essence of Tinhela610 lies in its refusal to conform, inviting each visitor to indulge in boundary pushing practices that defy convention.  From ancient meditation techniques to immersive sensory experiences that awaken dormant senses such as sauna, cold-water bathing, waiting for hunger pangs, moving the body to its limit and feeling alive. This is where wellness meets rebellion and self-discovery knows no boundaries.

Hidden in the rugged embrace of the Tras-os-Montes region, Tinhela610 is a wilderness sanctuary defying convention and an invitation to shed the shackles of the ordinary and embrace the audacious. As one ventures into the heart of Tinhela610, they will find a haven where the echoes of tradition collide with a pulsating undercurrent of omnipresence.

Tinhela610 is a unique destination for 14 guests where each individual can behold nature, surrounded by the mysteries of this enchanted land. During their stay, each guest will experience the unusual alchemy of Tinhela610 that transforms everyday experiences into rituals-be it breathing, bathing, eating, exercising or sleeping.

Guests will experience an exclusive natural environment free from urban pollution-be it light, noise, air or water. Excessive consumption is discouraged—both of personal and of the earth’s resources—thus, learn to live more with less.  A peaceful haven that awaits visitors to recharge, relax and experience life in the slow-living lane. This rural  landscape has remained untouched for years and one may walk the old paths made by generations of shepherds and their flocks.
