Studioparisien

Laurene Barbier Tardrew, interior architect and designer, and Romain Jourdan, scenographer and designer, met on their first project for a French luxury house. Their collaboration is fluid and effervescent, and they are both different yet complementary. A shared artistic sensibility spontaneously led them to set up their own interior architecture and design agency, Studioparisien, in 2013. There they develop a singular language, where a refined aesthetic rubs shoulders with precious brutalism, and a soft geometry where the tension of the lines responds to the curves of the volumes. Guided by a shared desire, they design expressive, elegant, contemporary spaces that promote the value of fine craftsmanship.

Driven by a desire for the precious minimal, Studioparisien’s aesthetic approach blends the richness of inspired materials, chosen for their ability to evoke a suggested nature – never literal, always felt.

Their aim: to design and create made-to-measure worlds, imagining unique atmospheres by giving pride of place to materials, shapes and the expertise of craftsmen. They are a true source of inspiration. Studioparisien and these craftsmen engage in a perpetual, generous, sensitive and rich dialogue, constantly renewing themselves to create furniture, lighting and spaces designed to respond to specific scenarios.
